Azerbaijan has high socio-economic development indicators and sufficient capability and potential for their further growth. This was discussed in detail at the economic meeting held under President Ilham Aliyev, and Head of State set the main task of the government to raise economic growth and continue reforms. In this case, available resources should be identified, budget revenues should be increased, and purposefulness and transparency of budget expenditures should be ensured. Head of State once again stated that the Azerbaijani citizen is at the centre of the social policy pursued. In this regard, the increasing opportunities and budget revenues of our state are aimed at improving the social status of the population, including IDPs, who are vulnerable groups of society.

These views were voiced in the wide board of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs. Stating that large-scale work to solve the problems of IDPs this year was continued and that President Ilham Aliyev had given concrete instructions on the work to be done next year Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee, underlined importance of mobilization of all opportunities for timely and high-level fulfilment of tasks ahead.

At the board meeting, reports of the Executive Director of the Fund Mahir Abbaszade on the progress of works on the projects of the IDP Social Development Fund for 2019, Deputy Committee Chairman Fuad Huseynov on the activities of the regional bodies of the committee and measures to improve their work, as well as on the status of the works to improve individual accounting system of IDPs, Department Head Sanan Huseynov on the works for provision of unified monthly allowances, increase of employment of IDPs in newly built settlements, Department Head Rovshan Alvandov on the status of the repair and construction works at the expense of budget funds and investment expenditures, Department Head Sabuhi Ahmadov on condition of preparation for the autumn-winter season in settlements on the Housing Department were listened and discussed.

The board made decisions on the issues on the agenda.
