Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, met with IDPs in “Gobu Park” residential complex at Garadagh district of Baku.
Chairman of the State Committee spoke about important directions of the state policy in the field of work with refugees and IDPs, the work done over the past year and the tasks set by the head of state. It was noted that the President Ilham Aliyev pays particular attention to improvement of the housing and living conditions of IDPs. The head of our state underlined once again at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the socio-economic development of the first quarter of this year and forthcoming tasks that there are still IDPs living in severe conditions, and addressing their problems is one of the key issues for us. At present, construction of new residential complexes for IDPs in the capital and regions is underway. Noting that “Gobu Park-2” project is also among them, Chairman of the State Committee said that the new complex will be put into use soon.
The fact that on April 26 of this year, the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva`s visited “Gobu Park” residential complex and met with IDPs, acquainted with their living conditions, listened to their appeals, and gave instructions to address the issues raised was considered as the next clear example of state care for those who suffered from war. It was pointed out that instructions given by the First Vice President were immediately started to be implemented, and the issues raised in the appeals of residents will be addressed within the effective legislation.
Chairman of the State Committee listened to lots of appeals of IDPs who attended the meeting and answered their questions. Appeals were mostly related to improvement of housing and living conditions and water supply, provision of employment, job opportunities, etc. All written and verbal appeals were recorded. It was noted that they will be reviewed by the State Committee, and an official response will be given accordingly.
The speakers expressed their satisfaction with the attention and care shown by our state and thanked the country administration.
