The next meeting of the Public Council under the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs was held. During the meeting, detailed discussions were conducted on supporting the implementation of state policy in the relevant field, ensuring public oversight and participation in the Great Return process, responding to citizens’ appeals, and other related issues.

The information provided by Anar Khalilov, Chairman of the Public Council, on the matters under discussion was heard. It was noted that, in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and the Action Plan of the First State Program on the Great Return, the permanent resettlement of former IDPs in the restored and newly built residential areas of the liberated territories is being successfully implemented. Members of the Council actively participate in activities related to the Great Return, study public opinion at all stages of this process, and hold meetings with citizens returning to their ancestral lands. The Public Council maintains interactive communication with the heads of the structural units of the State Committee to ensure the prompt resolution of appeals. Such cooperation plays an important role not only in matters related to the Great Return but also in ensuring that all issues concerning IDPs are kept under attention and resolved in a timely manner.

Chairman of the State Committee Rovshan Rzayev met with the members of the Public Council and noted that effective cooperation with them is important for further improving the work of the institution and fulfilling the tasks ahead in a transparent manner with public participation. He emphasized that the proposals and initiatives put forward by the Council members are always given due attention. The organization of public oversight in the Great Return process, establishing direct communication with former IDPs, and conveying public opinion to the State Committee are commendable aspects of the Council’s activities.

Afterwards, an exchange of views was held between representatives of the structural units of the State Committee and the members of the Public Council.
