Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan determined the solution of the social problems of IDPs as one of the priorities of the state social policy. The State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs continues to take measures in this area in accordance with the instructions and orders given by the head of state. On July 25, Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, met IDPs settled in the 3 damaged buildings located in different parts of Surakhani district, familiarized with the state of accommodation and living conditions. It was noted at the meeting which was also attended by Ilgar Abbasov, the head of Surakhani District Executive Power that Azerbaijani government keeps the solution of the serious problems faced by our compatriots who were forced to leave their homeland in the center of attention. Measures related to their social security, educational, employment, housing and medical provision are being taken. It was stated that the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva gave an instruction about relocation of the internally displaced families living under the most severe conditions, in damaged buildings in the capital to new buildings, and purposeful work is being done on the implementation of this instruction. The Chairman of the State Committee listened to the appeals of IDPs settled in damaged buildings in Surakhani district and answered their questions. Instructions were given to investigate the problems of the IDPs attended the meeting and take appropriate measures. It was mentioned that such meetings are planned to be held in other cities and regions as well.
