Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Farid Asadzada, who won a gold medal at the MMA World Championship among youth and teenagers, and his coach Mehman Huseynov in Alexandroupolis, Greece.
Farid’s family temporarily settled in the village of Mushfigabad in the Garadagh district of Baku as internally displaced persons from the city of Agdam. He studies in the 6th grade of Aghdam secondary school No. 33. Since he was interested in sports from childhood, his parents enrolled Farid in the sports club named after the National Hero of Azerbaijan Shikar Aslanov, operating in the Gobu Park-1 residential complex, built for internally displaced persons. Here he becomes acquainted with the secrets of MMA, grappling and pankration.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the President, Commander-in-Chief Supreme Ilham Aliyev attaches particular importance and care to the physical and spiritual growth of the young generation, instilling in them the spirit of patriotism. First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva also has effective support for the children of internally displaced families in matters of education, health and personal development. In compliance with her tasks, the State Committee created conditions for the operation of various sports divisions in “Gobu Park” residential complexes.
The young player, his coach and his father expressed their appreciation with the care of our state and expressed their gratitude to the country’s leadership for creating conditions for the repatriation of internally displaced persons to their homeland.
The chairman of the State Committee congratulated the world champion and his coach on the victory and wished them new achievements.
Sabuhi Abdullayev, a veteran of the 44-day Patriotic War, a member of the Special Forces, also attended the meeting and gave his recommendations to the young man from Aghdam.
