The State Committee for the Affairs of Refugees and IDPs organized yet another tree-planting event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Members of the executive staff of the State Committee, along with residents, actively engaged in the tree-planting initiatives conducted across various locations in residential complexes built for IDPs in districts of Garadagh and Sabunchu in Baku city, 13th micro district in Sumgait city, Absheron district, and in Shirvan city.
It was reiterated that the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, devoted significant attention to safeguarding our nation's natural resources, promoting their efficient utilization, and ensuring the vitality of ecological environment. President Ilham Aliyev has successfully continued these endeavours, focusing on enhancing the country's ecological situation, promoting tree planting initiatives. Fostering clean ecological conditions for the well-being of our compatriots has been defined as a priority. Furthermore, the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva has resulted in the implementation of pivotal measures aimed at preserving and protecting our country's ecology and environment.
The participants of the campaign expressed concern over the severe environmental damage caused to liberated territories, acts of vandalism that had led to the destruction of natural resources. They also voiced determination to restore the former beauty of their homeland and actively contribute to the reestablishment of ecological balance with the support and attention provided by the state.
Up to now hundreds of pine and olive trees were planted and agrotechnical care was provided in areas of temporary settlement of refugees during campaigns.
