Educational training on the danger of mines was held in an IDP settlement with 866 apartments in Hasangaya village of Barda region, organized by the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The purpose of holding the sessions is to inform teachers and students about mines and other unexploded military munitions that can be found in the liberated territories, the rules of behavior with them, safety measures, and the relevant state institutions to be contacted in this regard.
The two-day trainings were attended by 21 trainers, three of whom were injured in the mine explosion. During the training, educational brochures were distributed to more than 150 residents and practical exercises were organized.
It should be noted that the State Committee has envisaged the regular organization of educational trainings on the danger of mines among the residents who will return to the territories liberated from occupation.
