On November 11, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan held a social support event at Kharibulbul Training and Production Center located at Gobu Park residential complex with the support of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, Advisor to the Chairman of the State Committee Nasimi Narimanov said that addressing the problems of IDPs is in the center of attention of President Ilham Aliyev and preparations for their return to their native lands are underway. First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva pays special attention to IDPs, holds meetings with them, personally listens to their wishes and requests, and addresses issues of housing, education and health.
Along with taking state measures to improve the living conditions of IDPs in our country, the private sector has also contributed to this area in recent years. The guests were informed that Gobu Park residential complex, where the event was held, was built by the private sector without the use of public funds. In addition, it was stated that "Kharibulbul" complex was established to support the employment of IDPs living in the area. Families of IDP martyrs and war veterans work here.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Tong Op highly appreciated the measures taken by the state regarding IDPs. He noted that the measures taken by the embassy for IDPs will be expanded in the future.
The guests viewed handicrafts at the exhibition, which reflects Korea-Azerbaijan friendly relations. Gifts and certificates were presented to the students participating in the competition.
Later, the participants got acquainted with the jewelry and carpets made at the center, and talked to IDPs working here. The embassy donated yarn, warp and weft and a number of technical equipment to Kharibulbul.
