On October 29, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs held a reception of citizens.

President Ilham Aliyev defined attention and sensitivity towards appeals of the citizens who are in special need of social protection, including the internally displaced persons, as an important and urgent task of all state agencies. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs has created the necessary conditions for citizens to freely and conveniently exercise their right of appeal based on existing legislation. Citizens are daily received by the committee officials. Reception by the Chairman of the state committee is held every Tuesday by registering in advance.

Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee, personally received the citizens who were registered for reception in advance. Their appeals were mainly related to improvement of housing conditions, determination of single monthly allowances, employment, status and other issues.

The appeal of more than 50 citizens was heard at the reception and formalised by registering.

Internally displaced persons were told that President Ilham Aliyev identified the solution of the problems of IDPs as one of the priorities of social policy. Measures are being taken to improve their living conditions, new housing complexes are being built in Baku and regions. First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva also pays special attention and care to solve housing, education and health problems of internally displaced people and carries out important work in this field.

The citizens received were informed that the issues raised by them would be investigated and resolved according to the legislation.
