A medical campaign was held in Kurdakhani settlement of Baku on June 14 on the occasion of June 15 National Salvation Day, on the initiative of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, organized by the Ministry of Health to involve internally displaced persons in a comprehensive medical examination directly in their residential places.
Azerbaijani citizen is in the centre of the social policy of President Ilham Aliyev. Continuous and effective measures are taken to improve material well-being of the population, to solve social problems, including rendering high-quality health services. A comprehensive state care is also provided for protection of health of refugees and internally displaced persons. In addition to improving living conditions of the citizens of this category, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva is especially sensitive to their regular taking necessary medical aid. Medical stations that meet modern requirements operate in the settlements built for internally displaced persons.
In the medical campaign at Zabrat Treatment and Diagnostics Center, a 20-member medical brigade of the Republican Clinical Hospital named after academician M.A.Mirgasimov examined IDPs and provided medical service to them. About 300 internally displaced persons were examined within the framework of the medical action. Initial diagnosis was made for those with health problems, treatment determined.
Two minor children of one of the IDP families were circumcised during the action.
Internally displaced persons expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the country for care and attention to their health. Medical actions are also planned in other settlements for IDPs.
