Under the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Rovshan Rzayev, has received citizens in Guba region on June 12, in accordance with the schedule of citizens’ reception by heads of central executive bodies in the cities and regions.

The IDPs temporarily residing in Guba and Gusar attended the reception.

Their appeals were mainly related to the allocation of special-purpose residential areas of the state housing fund, determination of single monthly allowances and employment issues. The citizens were provided with detailed information on the state measures regarding solution of social problems of internally displaced persons, including improving the living conditions and expanding employment opportunities. It was noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays constant attention to strengthening social protection of internally displaced persons. New settlements are being built for IDPs as well as justice and transparency ensured in providing them with housing.

It was noted that implementation of the instructions of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, who is sensitive to the problems of the citizens with special needs for social protection, is underway regarding move of internally displaced persons still living in the most difficult and disastrous conditions to new apartments.

Part of the issues raised by internally displaced persons during the reception was resolved on the spot. Relevant instructions were given to investigate other issues and take necessary measures.

Also, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Fuad Huseynov received citizens in Khachmaz region on June 12.
