Bundestag`s Germany-South Caucasus Interparliamentary Relations Working Group being on trip in our country visited the living quarters built for 195 internally displaced families in the territory of Zaraghan municipality of Gabala.
Chairman of the State Committee Rovshan Rzayev pleasantly greeted the guests and informed them about the living quarter supplied with the necessary technical infrastructure. Speaking about the comprehensive reforms and socio-economic successes made in the country, Chairman of the Committee underlined that the Azerbaijani government, personally the President Ilham Aliyev pays particular attention to the solution of the problems of refugees and IDPs, concerning specific activity program is implemented, the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva provides particular care to improve the living conditions of the citizens from that category, build new residential areas for them, and their employment and health issues.
The guests met with IDPs living in the settlement, got acquainted with the 188-student school operating herein and attended “English language” lesson in one of the classes. German MPs visiting the apartment of one of the internally displaced families talked with family members.
Head of the delegation Johannes Kahrs said that they support the territorial integrity of all countries, including Azerbaijan.
Speaking about the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, they highly appreciated the particular attention being paid to the German heritage in Azerbaijan. Moreover, it was noted that the work done by the state to improve the living conditions of refugees and IDPs in our country is praiseworthy.
