On 8 April, the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons organized training on primary medical assistance at the residential complex of internally displaced persons in Shikharkh settlement located in the liberated territories of Nagorno Karabakh, with the support of the Defense Ministry.
More than 100 displaced persons settled in the complex were involved in the training held by medical employees of the Sarijali Military Hospital in the open-air. They participated in practical exercises on methods and rules for first aid provision in any accident and life-threatening situations, including to those injured as a result of military operations until the doctor arrives. Trainer doctors responded to numerous questions of internally displaced persons and provided them with detailed information on the features and importance of primary medical assistance.
Lieutenant Colonel of medical service Huseyn Aliyev headed the training held under the personal supervision of Major General Hikmet Hasanov.
The State Committee considers it important to carry out awareness-raising work on primary medical assistance among our internally displaced citizens living in the liberated territories and the areas near the contact line of the troops.
The trainings are planned to be conducted in other residential areas where internally displaced persons are temporarily settled as well.
