On April 2, the next reception of citizens was held at the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.

Chairman of the Committee Rovshan Rzayev listened to citizens’ applications separately and gave relevant tasks for investigation of each of them. The applications of the internally displaced persons were mostly about improvement of housing-living condition, provision of single monthly allowances, employment, status issues, communal services and other social problems.

Solution of the problems of internally displaced persons, as the persons who have special needs for social protection, is one of the priorits of the state policy. According to the task of the President to improve the housing-living condition of internally displaced persons, construction of new apartments in Baku and regions is continued. The head of country also pays attention to improvement of the material well-being of our citizens of this category and, according to the Decree issued by him, about 500 thousand internally displaced persons will receive their single monthly allowances with a 50 per cent increase beginning from this month.

The task of the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, who has always paid special attention to the issues related to internally displaced persons on the relocation of internally displaced families to new apartments, is continuously executed. In recent years, hundreds of such families have been relocated from basements, uncompleted and useless buildings to new apartments

The issues raised by the citizens during reception at the State Committee will be operatively investigated and measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation.
