On February 19, the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs held the next reception of citizens. Reception was conducted by the management and responsible officers of the committee. Chairman of the Committee Rovshan Rzayev individually listened to the appeals of citizens and gave relevant instructions for each of them to be investigated. The appeals of IDPs were mostly related to improvement of housing and living conditions, single monthly allowances, employment, status, utilities, and other social issues. Solving the problems of IDPs as people who is in particular need for social protection is one of the priorities of state policy. The number of newly built settlements, residential complexes is increasing year by year, housing and living conditions of IDPs are being improved in stages. The work in this area has further been accelerated by the instruction of the President Ilham Aliyev. At present, construction of new houses in Baku and in the regions is underway. Instruction of the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, who has always treated the issues related to IDPs in particularly sensitive way, about relocation of internally displaced families still living under the most severe conditions to new apartments is being executed. In recent years, hundreds of such families have been relocated to new apartments from basements, unfinished and useless structures. The issues raised by the citizens during the reception in the State Committee will be promptly investigated and appropriate measures according to the legislation will be taken.
