On February 15, a medical action was held in Barda at the initiative of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs and by the organization of the Ministry of Health in order for IDPs to be involved in comprehensive medical examination directly in their residential areas. Highly qualified doctors of the Republican Clinic Hospital named after M.Mirgasimov examined IDPs and checked their medical conditions in the Barda Treatment and Diagnostics Center. There were about 20 doctors with higher degree on surgeon, neuropathologist, pediatrician, ophthalmologist, nephrologist, cardiologist, traumatologist and other specialties. Examinations were conducted free of charge. Patients were given mandatory medical consultation and initial diagnosis. Some of them were provided with referrals to Baku for more thorough examination and specialized treatment. Azerbaijani citizen is in the center of social policy of the President Ilham Aliyev. Continuous and effective measures are being taken to improve the material wellbeing of people, address their social problems, and provide them with high quality healthcare services. A comprehensive state care is provided to protect the health of refugees and IDPs as well. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva treats the regular provision of the citizens from this category with necessary medical care in particularly sensitive way, along with the improvement of their living conditions. Medical stations meeting modern requirements operate in the settlements built for IDPs. It is also planned to conduct such medical actions in other cities and regions where IDPs temporarily settled.
