On January 16, Rovshan Rzayev, the chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, met with IDPs settled in Karabakh sanatorium in Pirshagi settlement of Sabunchu district in Baku and got familiarized with their states. It was stated that solution of the problems of IDPs is a priority in the social policy of the President Ilham Aliyev, consistent measures are being taken to improve their housing and living conditions and construction of new residential complexes is underway. It was noted that the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva is working hard to accelerate the implementation of the instruction given by her about relocation of the IDPs living in the most severe conditions to new apartments. The appeals of IDPs were listened and their questions were answered. The IDPs applied for relocation were informed that first of all, IDPs temporarily settled in damaged structures, hazardous areas are provided with new apartments. Instruction was given to investigate the problems of IDPs attended the meeting and take appropriate measures. The meetings of the State Committee management with IDPs namely in the temporary shelters will be continued.
