The State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a meeting with the project manager and staff of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department of the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

The meeting was attended by Program Manager Elin Carmichael, Deputy Program Manager Gwyneth Barry, the Second Secretary for Political Affairs at the British Embassy in Baku Katerina Colby, the Eastern Region Portfolio Manager of the project, Liz Micklemont, the embassy's official Nuriyya Guliyeva, the Director of the North Europe Department of the European Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Israfilov, the Director of the Employment Sector at the State Committee Kamran Aghamaliyev, and the Director of the Department of International Relations, Information and Press Service Ibrahim Mirzayev.

The foreign guests were informed on the ongoing activities within the framework of the execution of the I State Program on the Great Return, the initial results of the return of IDPs to their native land, and other directions for the Committee's activities.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, prospects for cooperation were discussed, views were exchanged on surveys conducted among IDP women in previous years and their results, questions of interest to the guests were answered.
