Within the framework of the State Committee for Affairs of the Refugees and IDPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the World Bank’s cooperation, the registration and selection stage of participants in the grant project “Improving the living conditions of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan” concluded in the second half of this year.

In the meeting of the Selection Committee, which was represented by the State Committee, the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Karabakh Economic Region, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Azerbaijan, 364 beneficiaries were chosen from among the internally displaced persons who applied to participate in the project.

The project is anticipated to help over a thousand individuals in total.
