On the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day, a meeting with a group of IDP schoolchildren with sports achievements was held at the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs.
Chairman of the Committee Rovshan Rzayev congratulated the children for their achievements in education and sports, expressed confidence that they will become worthy citizens of our country and will always benefit the motherland. It was noted that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev always paid special attention and care to the physical and moral health of children and young people, attached great importance to their growth in the spirit of loyalty to national and moral values and high patriotism. This political line is continued by President Ilham Aliyev, all conditions have been created in our country for the comprehensive development of the young generation, including active physical education and sports. Issues related to education, health and cultural development of children and youth also occupy a special place in the socio-political activity of first Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva. It was reminded once again with a feeling of gratitude that the children of IDP families also benefit widely from this attention and care.
The return of the IDPs to their native land, the conditions to be created for the education and sports of the young generation in the liberated territories were also discussed in the meeting. It was brought to attention that new schools were built and sports facilities were created in our newly built cities and villages.
Children participating in the meeting – the winners of the chess tournament held by the State Committee among IDP schoolchildren on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the teenagers who achieved success in jiu-jitsu sport competition spoke about their achievements and said that they were looking forward to the day when they will return to their native land. The Chairman of the State Committee was interested in the wishes and desires of the IDP students, and said that they will be constantly supported to achieve greater success in education and sports and their personal development.
At the end of the meeting, Rovshan Rzayev and Bayaz Guliyeva, a student of Lachin, the winner of the chess tournament, sat behind the chessboard. The game in the style of blitz ended in a draw. In the end, the chairman of the State Committee and the internally displaced students took a commemorative photo.
