Mr.Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Issues (SCR), gets familiar with the situation of construction works in new settlements to be constructed for IDPs

Mr.Ali Hasanov, Head of the SCR, has made a round trip to Fuzuli, Aghdam, Goranboy, Yevlakh regions and got familiar with the situation of construction works in the places. During the visit to the listed regions, Mr.Ali Hasanov, Head of the SCR was attended at the meeting held in the Barda Executive Powers Office in order to get familiar with the situation of IDPs settled in the region. He was provided with information about the situation and current challenges of IDPs living in the region. During the meeting there was a wide discussion on the ongoing concerns related to IDPs and appropriate measures to be taken. The relevant tasks were given to address the mentioned problems. It was mentioned that land plots have been allocated for the construction of living buildings for IDPs settled in Finnish type settlements, school and kindergarten buildings. The necessity of launching construction works in the nearest future was emphasized. In the course of the meeting, Mr. Ali Hasanov touched on the significance of the implementation of the appropriate measures on the basis of the instructions and orders of the President for the improvement of living condition of IDPs settled in the region. He also said that everyone must have a sense of duty for timely and properly accomplishing the goals set by the President regarding the improvement of housing – living condition of IDPs. Mr.Hasanov later visited to Horadiz settlement of Fuzuli region to familiarize the construction site of Horadiz Olympics Sport Complex which is about to be completed. He gave advices to the construction company working in the site. Afterwards Mr.Hasanov visited to the new settlement constructed in the proximity of Guzanli settlement based on the directions of the State Programme and its additions approved by the Presidential Decree. The construction of houses has been completed in the settlement constructed on 70 hectare area for 689 IDP families. The construction works of the 440 pupils capacity school building, of 50 children capacity kindergarten building and of an administrative building are about to be completed. The settlement is consisted of 322 two rooms, 264 three rooms, 48 four rooms and 55 one room houses and other social and technical infrastructure. Mr.Hasanov also paid a visit to Goranboy and Yevlakh regions. Three five storey buildings for 164 families are completed and are ready for use in a multistory buildings quarter located in 20 hectare area of Goranboy region. The quarter is constructed for 688 IDP families and will encompass a school with 360 pupils capacity and a kindergarten with 50 children capacity as well. The deputy Prime Minister was informed that all communication lines have been installed and the construction of a water reservoir for the potable water supply of the settlement has been completed. A new quarter consisted of ten five storey buildings for 612 IDP families has been constructed in Yevlakh. Together with living buildings, the construction of a secondary school building with 440 pupils capacity, a kindergarten building with 50 children and a community centre building is ongoing. Some of the buildings are about to be finalized. Moreover, the installment of technical infrastructure facilities of the buildings and apartments is about to be completed. After getting familiar with the construction works at the place, Mr.Hasanov, the Deputy Prime Minister brought to the attention of the relevant officials of the construction company that it is very crucial to complete construction works timely and properly.
