Deputy Secretary General of UNO Mrs. Asha Roze Migiro, visited our country to participate in the 7th Conference of ministers of European Council being in charge for the issues on equality between women and men met with the internally displaced persons settled in Hostel 1 of Management and Technology College 1 in Binagadi region. Deputy Head of the State Committee on the Issues of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Garay Farhadov informed the guest that 125 families, in other words, 618 people settled there temporarily. He emphasized that though the families had enlarged, their state remained unchanged. Gulsum Alishova, an internally displaced person from the village of Garadaghli of Khojavand region drew to the attention of the guest that their relatives’ souls in native lands are unrested for us. We want to return our home. I request you to bring our rightful voice to the attention of world community. We support the peaceful solution of the conflict. But if the negotiation doesn’t give any effect, we shall take up arms and liberate our land from occupation. We demand our own land, we don’t desire other lands. Asha Rose Migiro said: - I promise to sound your message in necessary instances. The guest was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister, head of State Committee on the Issues of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Mr. Ali Hasanov in newly constructed complex in the territory of House Building Factory 2. Mr. Ali Hasanov brought to Asha Rose Migro’s attention that the solution of refugees’ and internally displaced persons’ problems is of higher-priority issue. It is not circumstantial that 850 million US Dollars have been appropriated for improvement of living condition of refugees and internally displaced persons after founding the State Oil Fund. New settlements are built in the regions of Republic and multi-apartment houses have been built lately in the capital. 17 thousand apartments have been commissioned to exploitation during five-six years and 100 thousand internally displaced persons have been settled in those apartments. Moving process has been started already from the hostels. Deputy Secretary General expressed his gratitude for creating the possibility to meet with the internally displaced persons. He said that Secretary General supported all resolutions of Security Council on solution of this conflict. Mrs. Ilaha, spouse of Elshen Hasanaliyev, an internally displaced person from Jabrayil region said to the guest around the tea table that both they and their children born far from the native lands desired to return to those places. Mr. Ali Hasanov brought to the Deputy Secretary General’s notice that those apartments had been given to internally displaced persons temporarily. Deputy Prime Minister informed about the history of this conflict, condition in the region, course of negotiations in respect to the solution of Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the position of Azerbaijan’s leadership in these negotiations. Asha Rose Migiro stated that he supported the efforts of Azerbaijan leadership directed to the solution of the conflict.
