President Ilham Aliyev became familiar with new residential quarter for built 1500 internally displaced families in Ganja

President Ilham Aliyev became familiar with the new residential quarter built for 1500 internally displaced families in Ganja. The works carried out for the improvement of living conditions of IDPs show the attention and care of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev towards our compatriots of this category. The relocation of people displaced from their own lands during Karabakh war from temporary residential areas and tent camps to modern settlements demonstrates government’s high level attention to these people. The State programs on improvement of their material welfare have been approved and significant measures have been taken to increase social benefits. The conditions established in quarter consisting of multi-storey buildings constructed for 1500 internally displaced families in Ganja by the decree of the President Ilham Aliyev proves this fact. The head of the state who visited the residential quarter first became familiar with conditions established in the new administrative building of the Executive Power of Kalbajar District. Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov informing President Ilham Aliyev noted that all the requirements for the activities of employees were taken into account in the building provided with necessary equipments. In the lobby of the building there was created a photo gallery exhibiting the meetings of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev with internally displaced persons. The President inquired about the conditions in the workrooms and assembly hall. Then President Ilham Aliyev visited the Palace of Culture. It was noted that the Palace of Culture was the largest one among the palaces constructed in the residential quarters till today. Lighting and sound systems were installed according to the most modern technology in the 500-seat hall of the palace. Both important republican and district events can be held in the Palace of Culture. High level conditions were established at music school operating under the Palace of Culture. Afterwards President Ilham Aliyev visited 1,200-seat Kalbajar district school No.9. Photo stands reflecting international events that great leader Heydar Aliyev participated and the meetings of National Lider Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev with the internally displaced persons were installed in the lobby of the school. The head of state reviewed the master plan of the residential quarter. This residential quarter was constructed in accordance with the appropriate clauses of the Annexes, approved by the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated 31 October, 2004 to “State program on the improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs and the increase of employment among them”, that has been ratified by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated 1 July, 2004. The complex includes 25 residential buildings and other other necessary social infrastructure facilities. 1500 family or 6750 IDPs from Khojavand, 1400 from Kalbajar, 100 from Aghdam, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Lachin, Shusha, Zangilan, Khojali will be moved to the new buildings. There was constructed a club community center, administrative building, medical center and telephone exchange. Water, energy and gas networks of the settlement are connected to the communications system of Ganja. In general, there were constructed 23 modern settlements with all the social and technical infrastructure and housing and living conditions of 6 thousand families or more than 76 thousand IDPs were improved in the last five years. During familiarization with the school, the President was informed that this institution has all the conditions for the education of children. President Ilham Aliyev became familiar with the gym of the school. It was noted that high conditions were created in the garden built in the residential quarter. Then the head of the state became familiar with conditions created in the apartment of IDP, Ofeliya Mammadova from Kalbajar district. It was reported that all conditions were created in the four-room apartment of Ofeliya Mammadova whose family consists of 5 people.
