The member of PACE from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Milicha Markovich (Parliament member) and secretary of Bosnia and Herzegovina delegation to the PACE, Ms. Sevda Valjevcic met with the deputy chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Garay Farhadov. Expressing his gratitude to them for making time and arriving to the meeting with a view to get closely acquainted with several problems of our country Garay Farhadov provided detailed information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, its historical roots and cause of its occurrence, more than one million Azerbaijanis becoming refugees and IDPs in the issue of military aggression of Armenia, hard social condition and measures assumed by the government of Azerbaijan in this field. Noting the target of Azerbaijan to resolve the conflict peacefully orator emphasized the support of foreign countries and international organizations in this issue and Armenia’s ignorance the decrees and resolutions on the immediate liberation of the territories of Azerbaijan issued by UN Security Council, Council of Europe and other international organizations. 82 modern settlements were constructed, more than 180 thousand Azerbaijanis were moved to the new houses, education, health, communication and cultural centres were built, appropriate infrastructure was established in the different cities and regions of the country on the basis of assignments of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Ilham Aliyev related to the improvement of social and living conditions of refuges and IDPs. The works on the solution of social problems and improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs are in progress, new buildings are constructed and blocks are settled. Expressing their appreciation in the meeting conducted in view exchange condition for comprehensive and detailed information visitors gave the evidence of these meetings’ importance and stated that this visit provided opportunities for acquisition of information on geopolitical situation in the region, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the problems of refugees and IDPs occurred in the issue of this conflict and the ways of solving that problem. We obtained these opportunities from the information you provided. The questions interesting for the visitors were thoroughly responded in the meeting. Afterwards visitors got acquainted with the block newly constructed in Mushvigabad settlement of Garadagh district for 1440 IDP family.
