The relocation process of IDPs to the new settlement constructed in Imishli region has been completed.

The implementation of large scale measures on the solution of employment and other social problems, increase of living standards, especially improvement of living conditions have been successfully carried on in the previous years and are extended at present as well in accordance with the “State Program for improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs and increase of employment” approved with decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and amendments to it. In general, the establishment of the new settlements, resettlement of IDPs to these residential areas, construction of multi-storey residential building complex for IDPs settled in the dormitories located in the capital and firstly vacation of dormitory with more severe conditions and other issues are implemented in accordance with the State Program and relevant articles of Annexes to it in a staged manner. The settlements of Finnish type established in the territory of Imishli region and the settlement considered for 550 IDP families are constructed according to the relevant items of Annexes approved with the Decree dated 31 October 2007 made to the State Program approved with the Decree dated 1 July 2004 of the President of Azerbaijan. Opening ceremony of the block for 325 families constructed in the first phase in the settlement consisting of 550 houses in the mentioned area was held in November 14 and IDPs were moved by the repatriation department of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs to that settlement in a short period of time. Relocation of IDPs from settlements of Finnish type located in Imishli region to the apartments of the new settlement was finished after the completion of the settlement’s construction for 225 family considered to be built in the second phase. The attractive school building for 360 seat and other necessary facilities meeting modern standards were constructed in the territory of this settlement covering 100 ha area. 50-seat kindergarten, administrative building, community center, feldscher-gynaecologic center were put into the service of IDPs. Electrical and gas supply networks were connected to the communications of Imishli region. Boiling house, park, water-storage drainage as well as closed irrigation networks for irrigating parcel land and back-yard as well as drainage for ground water removal were constructed. IDPs making preparations for celebrating New Year in their own apartments expressed their deep gratitude to the President of our state Ilham Aliyev.
