New multi storey residential building complex was constructed for 1500 IDP family in Ganja

In accordance with the “State Program for improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs and increase of employment” approved with the decree dated 1 July 2004 of the President of Azerbaijan and Annexes made to the State Program and approved with the Decree dated 21 February 2011, new multi storey residential building complex was constructed for 1500 IDP family in Ganja. The event was held on December 24 on putting the complex into operation. Deputy Prime Minister, the chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs Mr. Ali Hasanov, the head of Ganja Executive Power Elmar Valiyev, the head of Kalbajar executive power Agil Mammadov and other participated at the event. It was stated that the new complex covering 25 ha area includes 25 residential buildings and other necessary social infrastructure facilities. 1500 family or 6750 IDPs, 1400 from Kalbajar, 100 from Aghdam, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Lachin, Shusha, Zangilan, Khojali, Khojavand will be moved to the new buildings. It was mentioned that the gross residential area of constructed 1500 apartments is 115 thousand 380 square meters. 150 of the apartments are one-room, 650 are two-room, 550 are three-room, 150 are four-room . In addition, 1220 seat school, 120 seat kindergarten, 500 seat Culture center, administrative building for Kalbajar executive power, health center, ATS were constructed in the area of complex. It was mentioned that the construction of complex was started in March, 2013 and completed in September. Ordering party of construction is Social Development Fund for IDPs. Firstly, the event participants visited the administrative building of Kalbajar region executive power. They looked at the photo stands reflecting meetings of Heydar Aliyev with IPDs, got acquainted with conditions created in the working rooms and assembly halls. Afterwards they got acquainted with the condition created in Kalbajar region secondary school No. 9 and visited Culture Center. All necessary conditions were provided for conduction of theatrical performances, concert programs and other events. 500-seat hall attracting with its exemplary design was provided with the most modern lighting and sound systems. The event was held on commissioning of the new complex in the Culture Center. Deputy Prime Minister, the chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs Mr. Ali Hasanov stated that the improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs has been always in the focus of Azerbaijan’s government. It was mentioned that the improvement of living conditions of IDPs was one of the fundamental principles of Ilham Aliyev’s policy.
