Refugees and IDPs suffer from the prolonging of conflict resolution more

The Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Heidrun Tempel on December 4. Congratulating ambassador on starting her new activity in Azerbaijan and wishing her every success in the future activity, Mr. Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Germany had been established on good principles and expressed his confidence in further successful continuation of these relations. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for helping to solve the problems of Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons with international humanitarian organizations that represent this country. In the meeting, in which consequences of Armenia’s military aggression, the condition of refugees and internally displaced persons, work done in the field of improving their social, housing and living condition and other issues were dealt with in details, views on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, its history and causes, policy pursued by the government of Azerbaijan to resolve the conflict, problem that has still remained unresolved due to non-constructive position Armenia, loyal attitude of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as some international organizations towards the settlement of the problem and other issues have also been exchanged. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov also noted that the government of Azerbaijan has undertaken the settlement of all problems of these citizens and currently deals with this issue adequately. However, there is necessity to continue the activities of international humanitarian and local non-governmental organizations in the country. Highlighting all the conditions created by the government of Azerbaijan for their functioning, Ali Hasanov stated that at present nearly 30 international and 70 local non-governmental organizations including those representing German government operate in our country. Expressing her gratitude for the thorough information and cordial meeting, the German diplomat stressed that the main objective of attending this meeting, in which representative of International Cooperation Organization of the Germany has attended, was providing assistance in solving the problem of refugees and IDPs via the mentioned organization in the European Union. Mrs. Heidrun Tempel, expressing her regret as German publicity was less informed on these, noted that they were preparing to implement a new project related to the problem of refugees and internally displaced persons and would start it in the near future.
