Conference about design of residential district for IDPs in Gobu

The conference was held about the design of residential district for IDPs in Gobu in 500 ha land allocated from Gobu municipality of Absheron district on April 19. The Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Mr. Ali Hasanov spoke about the works done for the improvement of social, living conditions of refugees and IDPs of our country, in recent years. It was noted that more than 300 thousand refugees in total live in the areas of Sumgayit and Baku and the Absheron peninsula. All internally displaced persons temporarily settled in these areas will be moved to the new residential district allocated from the area of Gobu municipality of Absheron district during the next two or four years. The new residential district to be built will meet modern standards; will completely be provided with heating, electric, water supply. The settlement of 2200 family in the newly built residential area in Mushvigabad and Masazir continues at present, said Ali Hasanov and noted that 500-seat cultural centers meeting all modern standards were being built in Ganja. The construction of the new settlements in 7-8 regions of our republic continues in the current year. Ali Hasanov emphasizing great attention and care of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the refugees and IDPs said that the head of our State attended the opening ceremony of the 3 new, modern settlements during the recent 3 months. All settlements constructed were built in high quality. Yusif Naghiyev, the director of “Azerinshaatlayihe” Institute of Design and Technology, providing information about project said that 10 schools for 1200 pupils, 10 kindergartens, centers for children and youth, first aid stations, public catering facilities, culture centers and physical training facilities will be built in the area. In general, 10 microdistricts are planned to be established in the residential area with 204 residential buildings to be constructed, each for 9 thousand persons. Yusif Naghiyev emphasizing geological exploration work carried out in the area of Gobu residential district, mentioned 3 thousand 250 exploratory wells that had been drilled and noted the usefulness of the area for living. Representatives of relevant organizations attended in the ceremony and spoke about their opinions and suggestions. It was noted that the construction of this residential district meeting modern standards was the obvious example of care and attention of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
