Wide information about refugees and IDPs in new books made in Azerbaijani and English

The book titled “ İnformation on about one million refugees and internally displaced persons formed as a result of ethnic cleansing policy in Armenia and occupation of 20 percent of territories of Azerbaijan by Armenian armed forces (1988-2011)” made by the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs was published in Azerbaijani and English. Sections of the book deal with the history of Azerbaijani lands occupation, humanitarian challenges caused by the problem of refugees and IDPs, places of their temporary settlement, care to refugees and IDPs by Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev, the President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs and international donors. The book also covers some information about current demands, large-scale actions carried out as a part of the state care for improving social and living conditions of over one million people who became refugees and IDPs as a result of Armenia’s military aggression against our country and occupation of 20% lands in 1988-1993. The book published with run of two thousand copies was issued in Turkey with the same run of copies by “Cag” Oyretim Isletmeleri and presented to the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs. According to the tasks given by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, international events are regularly organized in our country and abroad to inform the international community about Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. New edition intended to be handed out to attendants of such events is a worthy source about the history, causes and effects of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. In addition to these editions, the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs prepared a 52-minute film titled “Homesickness and unquenchable hope” about social conditions of refugees and IDPs driven out of their native lands as a result of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, 10-minute film about the actions implemented by the President Ilham Aliyev and 10-minute short film in 8 languages, also the committee’s website was put into operation in 2 languages.
