Work process in the block being constructed for families of IDPs in Masazir is in the spotlight

Housing problems of refugees and IDP are in the centre of attention of Azerbaijan’s President. New settlements, small towns, districts with all kinds of infrastructures are built for IDPs according to the “State Program for improving living conditions of refugees and IDPs” approved by proper Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev. Problems of people displaced from their ancestral lands will be focused on in the current year, as well. It is aimed to build new small towns, residential areas with all necessary social and technical infrastructures for nearly 4 thousand families in 2013. One of such settlements is being built in Masazir, Absheron district. On January 18, the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov got acquainted with the construction process in the residential area being built for IDPs in Masazir. Director of Social Development Foundation for IDPs, MP Ayaz Orujov reported to the Deputy Prime Minister that 13 five-storied buildings for 760 IDPs are under construction. 540-seat school, 280-bed kindergarten, club-community centre, medical centre, administrative and post office buildings are being constructed in the block. The block will be supplied with gas, water, electricity, centralized heating system. A park and sports ground are also planned to be constructed in the block where more than 350 workers have been involved for construction process. Then the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov met with the managers of the companies engaged in construction works, and stated that settlement of refugees and IDPs was the priority issue for our state. He noted that the issue was also in the focus at the meeting on results of socio-economic development in 2012 and the objectives for 2013 held by the Cabinet of Ministers on January 15 which was chaired by the President Ilham Aliyev. The head of our state always keeps the problems of refugees and IDPs in the spotlight, and has set definite goals for this purpose. Strategy defined by the President Ilham Aliyev for fulfilment of these objectives in high level, also objectives arising out of care and attention of the President to refugees and IDPs should be fulfilled prematurely and in high quality. At the end the chairman walked around the area, and gave his instructions and tasks to fulfil the construction works in high level.
