Chair of the parliament of the Estonian Republic got acquainted with living conditions of IDPs

The delegation headed by the Chair of the parliament of the Estonian Republic Mrs. Ene Ergma, who is on official visit to Azerbaijan, met with IDPs settled in the capital, on June 30. First, the delegation visited hostel №2 of Baku Management and Technology College in Darnagul campus. The guests were informed that new settlements for families of refugees and IDPs were built in different cities and regions of the country, more than 100 thousand of our fellow-citizens moved to new houses, education, health, communication and cultural centres were constructed, proper infrastructure was created. Activities for the solution of refugees and IDPS’ problems, improvement of their living conditions go on, as well as new buildings, blocks are under construction, at present. Inquiring about the condition of the hostel, the guests saw the room where an IDP from Fuzuli region – Abbas Aliyev lived with his family. The guests entered into new residential complex built for refugees and IDPs in the area of house-building complex №2 in Binagadi district. Ene Ergma got acquainted with new building constructed for Zangilan city school №4 living here as IDPs and was in detailed informed about Armenians’ aggression to old Azerbaijani lands. Ene Ergma, in her interview to journalists, emphasized her belief in returning of refugees and IDPs to their native lands in a short period of time, said she would inform the public of Estonia about their conditions. Mentioning that Estonia followed attentively the processes in the South Caucasus, Ene Ergma said official Tallinn considered Azerbaijan its close ally. Our position in regard to Nagorno Karabakh has not changed. We support immediate and fair solution of this conflict.
