Construction works continue fast in settlements for internally displaced

Ali Hasanov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chair of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (SCARIDP) inquired about the progress of construction works in the settlements built for internally displaced persons in the territory of Kish municipality of Shaki on May 23.
It was noted that new settlement is being built in the territory of the Kish municipality in connection with the execution of the Annexes dated October 31, 2007 to the “State Programme on Improvement of Living Conditions of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and Increasing their Employment” approved by the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic dated July 1, 2004 in order to improve housing and living conditions of internally displaced persons that have been temporarily settled in Finnish-type settlements and school buildings in Shaki region, useful lives of which ended. 423 houses are being built here. 17 of them will be one-room, 211 two-room, 175 three-room and 20 four-room. There will be built school buildings, kindergarten, administrative building, post - office, clubs, community center, ambulatory medical center, etc in the settlement.
After familiarization with the course of construction works, the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov noted that the volume of funds allocated for the improvement of the living conditions of internally displaced persons was increased 2.5 times this year, according to the order of the President Ilham Aliyev. And this allows to build more modern and high-quality settlements for our citizens who had been displaced from their native lands. 71 settlements have been built up to this day. Currently we continue to build new settlements and residential quarters for the internally displaced persons in 9 regions. New modern settlements are also being built in surrounding districts of Baku. Nearly 50 thousand internally displaced persons will be provided with such buildings newly in next three years. Land area was allocated for the housing estates that will be built in the surrounding of Baku, especially in Gobu settlement and currently documentation works are being carried out. The Deputy Prime Minister gave specific instructions to the executors for high-quality and timely implementation of works.
Then Deputy of Prime Minister, Chair of the State Committee on Deals refugees and IDPs, Ali Hasanov came to Mingachevir city and familiarized with the implemented works in new settlements built for internally displaced persons. It was noted that new housing estate consisting of 9- storey building are being built in Mingachevir for the improvement of housing and living conditions of internally displaced persons that have been temporarily settled in Finnish-type settlements and school buildings useful lives of which ended.
The Deputy Prime Minister walked along the building area and familiarized with the course of works. Then it was noted at the meeting held with the heads of construction companies that 10 buildings are being built here. 502 families will be provided with apartments in these buildings. 34 of apartments will be one-room, 259 two-room, 182 three-room and 27 four-room. School building for 480 pupils, 50-bed kindergarten, administrative building, and sport center will be built.
Ali Hasanov got acquainted with the problems of constructers and gave his instructions and recommendations. Then Deputy Prime Minster met with internally displaced persons in Mingachevir city, inquired about their problems and gave relevant instructions dealing with the solutions of these problems.
