Members of France Senate visited the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons

Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met the delegation under the guidance of Natalie Guli, the member of the France Senate who visited our country, on February 7. Ali Hasanov informed the guests in details about the history of Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the events committed by Armenians against our people, at the meeting. The chair of the Committee talking about the work done by the government for improving housing conditions of refugees and IDPs stressed that $US 4.6 billion were spent in last 20 years to solve their problems. $US 2.6 billion of it belongs to the budget, $US 1 billion to State Oil Fund, and $US 900 mln to the international humanitarian organizations. Besides, 70 new settlements were made for refugees and IDPs in our country up to now. Ali Hasanov, stating his attitude towards the law adopted in France Senate providing punishment on denial of the false “Armenian genocide”, expressed his gratefulness to French senators who objected to the adoption of this unfair law. Natalie Guli, the member of the France Senate thanked for detailed information and expressed her gratitude for being in Azerbaijan again. Natalie Guli, who stressed her understanding the states of refugees and IDPs driven out of their native land as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, stated that she believed in solution of this problem soon and their returning to native lands. N.Guli also stated her belief in Constitutional Council’s annulment of the law adopted in France Senate regarding the false “Armenian genocide”. Exchange of views was conducted at the meeting relating the issues causing mutual interest. At the end, French senators were introduced to the chart reflecting military aggression of Armenia towards Azerbaijan in 1988-1993. A disc of film running about the Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict was presented to the guests, as well.
