On July 20, Deputy Prime Minister, the chairman of State Committee on the affairs of refugees and internally displaced persons Ali Hasanov met with the representatives of Turkish mass media paying a visit to our country. Ali Hasanov talked about the history of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Garabagh conflict, atrocities committed by Armenians, touched upon successful relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He emphasized that Armenian problem is the problem of the whole Turkish World. Diasporas of Azerbaijan and Turkey should intensify the combined struggle against Armenians. Speaking of the measures taken by Azerbaijani State to improve life conditions of IDPs Ali Hasanov emphasized that 4,5 billion $ had been spent for the solution to refugees and IDPs’ problems over 20 years. 2,6 billion $ of this investment was budget allocation, 1 billion $ was allocation of State Oil Fund, 900 million $ was allocation of international humanitarian organizations. Expressing his gratitude to humanitarian organizations on behalf of the Azerbaijani Government, Ali Hasanov said that today the government has strengh to settle refugees and IDPs’social problems completely. However, the Government of Azerbaijan considers donor activity suitable for refugee and IDPs with regards to communication with international organizations, acquaintance of foreign specialists with our country and multilateral integration processes. Expressing his gratitude to Turkish international humanitarian organizations operating in Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister underlined that humanitarian organizations of this brother country had allocated 6 million $ for assistance to Azerbaijan. Ali Hasanov also gave information about the refugees and IDPs’ residential places, measures taken to solve their social problems. Representatives of influential newspapers, such as “Radical”, “Hurriyyat”, “Todays Zaman”, “Zaman”, “Milliyyat”, “Haber Turk”, attending the meeting, accentuated that the target of the visit was to support the deliverance of the information about the history, culture, statehood tradition, economic potential of the country, especially the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Garabagh conflict and its grave consequences to the Turkish Community more profoundly, exchange of information and mutual relations’s becoming more extensive. Other interesting issues were discussed, the questions were answered, the disc on Nagorny Garabagh conflict were presented to the visitors at the meeting.
