Mr.Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan participates in the opening ceremony of the Horadiz Olympus Sports Compound

On 11 November the President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of Horadiz Olympus Sports Compound within the framework of his visit to Fuzuli region. The Head of the State cut the ribbon, which meant the opening, got familiar with the condition established in the compound. In the hall there has been formed a photo corner reflecting the attention and care of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the President Ilham Aliyev to sportsmen and to the development of the sport. It was informed that the compound occupies 5 hectare area and the construction had started in February 2010. The compound is consisted of a hotel with the capacity of 30 beds, a basketball playground, a hand games hall with the capacity of 500 players, a tennis court, and a parking area. A dressing room, a shower, a sauna and massage rooms, a medical point, a canteen, administrative rooms are also included in the Olympus Sports Compound. Moreover, there have been constructed a water reservoir, a water tank tower, and power half station in the area of the compound. The President Ilham Aliyev met with community representatives of the Fuzuli region at the point and congratulated them. Afterwards, the Head of the State and his spouse watched the outstanding performance of sportsmen and the concert of the art professionals. The President Ilham Aliyev looked at the football playground with the capacity of 1860 spectators. In the are there has been carried out improvement and planting works.
