The UNHCR High Commissioner Antonio Guterres visits National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s grave and Martyr’s Alley

The UNHCR High Commissioner Antonio Guterres on may 18,2011 came to the Honorary Alley and with deep respect commemorated reminiscence of Heydar Aliyev, our People’s National Leader, architect and founder of the modern and independent Azerbaijan state, laid flowers on his grave. Memory of Academic Zarifa Aliyeva, a prominent ophthalmologist scientist, has also been recalled and flowers were laid on her grave. Afterwards, the gests put fresh flowers on the graves of heroes who became martyrs for the sake of freedom and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in Martyrs Alley. The gests also looked to the view of the capital of Azerbaijan from the highest point of Baku.
