More 103 families were started to relocate to “Gobu Park”

The relocation of internally displaced families living in damaged buildings and under severe conditions is continuing. The next drawing of lots for the relocation to “Gobu Park” residential complex located at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district took place in Binagadi district. Members of the commission established in the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, responsible persons of Binagadi District Executive Power, deputy heads of the executive powers of occupied regions and representatives of IDP communities attended the ceremony. They informed about the work done by our state to address the housing problems of IDPs at the event. It was noted that the President Ilham Aliyev always keeps the solution of the problems of IDPs in the center of attention. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva also treats the issues related to IDPs in a sensitive way. It was noted that the issue of relocation of IDPs still living under severe conditions, in damaged and useless buildings in Baku and Sumgait to new apartments was considered and serious instructions were given related to the relocation of 4 thousand families at the consultation held last year under the chairmanship of the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. Shortly after this, the groundbreaking ceremony of “Gobu Park” residential complex was held at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district constructed at request of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and construction works were completed here within a short time. IDP families temporarily living under the most severe conditions, in damaged buildings, particularly in basements in Baku have been started to relocate to that complex starting from July 9 of this year. The IDPs living under severe conditions in the administrative building No.7 in the balance of the repair and construction department of the Ministry of Health located at H.Mammadguluzada street, M.A.Rasulzada settlement, Binagadi district, and worker dormitory No.3 located at Sattar Bakhlulzada street, 23 attended the drawing ceremony. Internally displaced families drew lots one by one and determined which building and which number of apartment they would live in per the number of pre-reserved rooms at “Gobu Park” residential complex newly built at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district. In total, 103 families were provided registration certificates for new apartments. Gulnaz Amirova (Fuzuli region), Rahila Huseynova (Lachin region), Ofeliya Allahverdiyeva (Fuzuli region) and others out of the IDPs who attended the drawing ceremony expressed endless happiness about the fact that they will live in new and comfortable apartments supplied with everything necessary from now on. They expressed deep gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to IDPs.
