On May 11, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Chairman of Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Mr. Ali Hasanov received Erkan Ozoral, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to our country. At the meeting, mentioning that Azerbaijan and Turkey are the countries closest to each other in the world, our cooperation develops in all areas, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey has a great importance both in the region and outside of the region, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed the importance of further development of these relations and of further strengthening of this unity. Deputy Prime Minister presented his congratulations related to the victory of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the referendum held in Turkey on the constitutional amendment on April 16. Ali Hasanov stated that the high level of relations between the leaders and people of two friendly and brotherly countries is based on the historical roots. The National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev has placed a particular importance to the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and has taken measures for strengthening of these relations day by day. We should never forget humanitarian aids for refugees and IDPs in the country during the occupation of our lands. Brotherly Turkey has supported our country at that time. Referring to the decision adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe about Turkey, Ali Hasanov said that this was unreasonable and unjust decision: “Turkey is a neighbouring, brotherly country to Azerbaijan. Strong reforms are implemented in the brotherly country. We lose confidence and trust in international organizations when they adopt such an unjust decisions. Such organizations will suffer from if they don’t go in the right direction. There are more than one million refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan. Our problem hasn’t been settled for 25 years. Who needs it if the international organizations don’t adopt relevant decisions and implement them?”. Erkan Ozoral, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to our country, expressed his gratitude for the reception and detailed information. The Ambassador mentioned the events held on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and expressed his pleasant words about the National Leader. He stated that the support by the President Ilham Aliyev to Turkey while making unjust decision against Turkey in PACE has been highly appreciated by Turkish people. At the meeting, Erkan Ozoral expressed his opinions about the assistance to the IDPs in the country by Turkish Red Crescent humanitarian organization on the eve of Ramadan holiday.
