Famous American journalist met with IDPs in Masazir settlement

The author of the book of “Murder in the mountains”: War crime in Khojaly and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict", well-known American journalist Raul Contreras who arrived in the country in order to write a new book about Azerbaijan met with our compatriots settled in the settlement for 760 IDP families in Masazir settlement and familiarized with the conditions created for them together accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Fuad Huseynov. Providing comprehensive information on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict , problems of our compatriots expelled from their homes as a result of the conflict and the work done by the state on the settlement of solution of these problems to the journalist coming to the meeting in order to present the realities as it is on the measures taken by the government on Azerbaijan, including refugees and IDPs in the country, improvement of their social and living conditions to enter a new publication F.Huseynov stated that, such 95 high-rise residential buildings with all social and technical infrastructure were constructed, settlements were built and living conditions of 250 thousand IDPs were improved in the different regions of the republic. After that, American journalist reviewed the conditions created for teachers and students in the Zangilan senior secondary school No. 33 in the settlement and exhibits of Zangilan region Local History Museum. Raul Contreras also visited the houses of IDPs settled in the neighborhood and was interested in their lives and living conditions. During the conversation with IDPs, American journalist expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of Azerbaijan in recent years, comprehensive care for the citizens living as IDPs by the state and said that he will use all opportunities for informing the international community about Azerbaijan's realities as it is and thanked for detailed information. It is to be recalled that, American journalist made a speech in US agencies with different articles on significant events in Azerbaijan, achievements, projects implemented, tolerance in the country, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Khojaly genocide.
