Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, chairman of Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Mr. Ali Hasanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea in Azerbaijan Kim Chang-gyu on September 27. Ambassador Kim Chang-gyu conveyed his congratulations on the organization of the referendum at a high level in our country on 26 September, the number of voters, voter turnout, and successful completion of the referendum results. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov noted that 117 international observers from more than 39 countries, 18 international organizations participated at the meeting and all of them were satisfied with the election. I think that the referendum was very successful, and even the IDPs were more active than local people. Ali Hasanov also stated: "The European Parliament issued an unfair decision a year ago. It was a very big surprise. European Parliament resolution has had a baseless and biased position. Mr. President reported it to them and they became very disappointed. Who gave the right to the international organizations and individual countries to interfere the internal affairs of some countries? whose internal affairs do we interfere? Why do they interfere our internal affairs?”
Noting that cooperation between the two countries in all fields was based on the good grounds, relations have entered a new stage of development, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov thanked for the humanitarian and development projects held by international humanitarian and development organizations of Korea operating in the country on the Azerbaijanis expelled from their native lands as a result of the conflict, as well as the Embassy of Korea, at the same time related to the measures to be implemented by them in a new built settlement in Bilasuvar region in the next month and said that cooperation in this area has an important place. Highly appreciating the activities of Korean Oriental Medical Hospital operating in the country, "For You" International Humanitarian Public Union, Ali Hasanov stressed the importance of the organization of courses in various fields related to IDPs, including information technology, language courses and computer courses. He noted that this relationship can be even better if we support each other in the international organizations. As long as the countries having some problems do not cooperate with international organizations, the number of these problems will increase. Ambassador Kim Chang-gyu during his visit to Azerbaijan highly appreciated a very large hospitality, support of the rich people to others, Azerbaijan's rapid economic development, a great reputation in the international community of Azerbaijan in a short time and the work done by National leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev for the improvement of social conditions of refugees and IDPs and expressed the hope that more Korean companies operate in Azerbaijan in the future. He also stated that they have met with IDPs from Khojavand region at the beginning of this year and have witnessed a high level of conditions created for them. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said that the solidarity of the countries belonging to the Altai language group can be more effective. The powerful countries demonstrate their strength in the world today and achieve their goals. The President of Azerbaijan always paid attention to the strengthening of the country in economic and military spheres. The problem has not been resolved yet although it has been 24 years. During the April war Armenians saw the power of the Azerbaijani army. Today in Armenia people are against the regime there. What did Sarkisian, Kocharian regime achieve by keeping our lands under occupation with the help of their supporters? Hunger, poverty is rampant in Armenia. We wish that there is normal regime and this problem finds a solution. However, some countries want to continue the conflict. Big countries struggle for their own interests while younger nations are suffering from it. UN makes resolutions today. But they are not implemented. Who needs these resolutions then? These ideas were mentioned in the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly.
