Khojaly Genocide is a crime committed against humanity

It was confidentially expressed at the conference in State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons that, the perpetrators of this tragedy will be punished worthily. A joint conference was held together with the “Justice for Khojaly” International Campaign Public Union on the promotion and awareness devoted to the Khojaly Genocide in State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons on February 24. At the beginning, memory of our compatriots who were killed during the Khojaly Genocide and all our martyrs who sacrificed themselves for their County was remembered with minute's silence. Opening the joint conference held with the participation of the staff of State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and “Justice for Khojaly International Campaign” Public Union with his speech, the Deputy Chairman of State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Garay Farhadov provided detailed information on the works done up to now and which are important to carry out for informing about Azerbaijani people’s Blood memory -Khojaly Tragedy, savageries committed against our people from time to time by Armenians and realities about Khojaly Genocide to the world community. It was stated that, Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev had great effort for informing the general public about the tragedy. This issue was assessed for the first time mainly on the initiative of Great Leader in the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the works were started in order to inform the world community about the tragedy. He expressed that, the issues on informing the world community about the realities of Khojaly Genocide and political and legal assessment of this extremely serious war crime committed against Azerbaijani people and against humanity in general on an international scale is a significant aspect of the public policy. G.Farhadov emphasized that, the works done by the Vice- president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva on informing the world community about the realities on Armenia’s expansionist policy and Khojaly Genocide are especially remarkable: “As a result of “Justice for Khojaly” Campaign carried out on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, nations of the world, and their parliaments were able to obtain detailed information on Khojaly Genocide. As a result of the successful promotion of “Justice for Khojaly” Campaign several counties and as well as 20 states of US officially recognized the Khojaly Genocide.” At the same time, it was expressed in the event that, this crime wasn’t directed just against the Azerbaijani people, but also against all mankind. It was mentioned that, those who hold positions in government today – Seyran Ohanyan, Serzh Sargsyan as well as Robert Kocharyan and others should appear before the international court as a the perpetrators of genocide. The chief specialist of “Justice for Khojaly International Campaign” Public Union Farid Jafarov made a speech in the conference and provided the detailed information on the works done by public union which he is represented up to now and challenges ahead.
