Deputy Prime Minister met with the public representatives of Aghdam, Lachin, Khojali and Khojavand regions

The Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with the public representatives of Aghdam, Lachin, Khojali and Khojavand regions in Guzanli settlement. Making a speech in the meeting Ali Hasanov mentioned about the tasks given by the President Ilham Aliyev and determined priories in the large meeting dedicated to the results of last year and the upcoming challenges of the Cabinet of Ministers and in the conference on the implementation of State Program on social and economical development of the regions between 2014-2018. Deputy Prime Minister stated that, last year was remembered as a year of crisis both economically and politically. None of the progress happened in the world in the resolution of existing conflicts, otherwise, the new conflict zones were created and the numbers of the refugees and migrants were increased. A.Hasanov emphasized that this crisis wasn’t felt in Azerbaijan as a result of successful policy of the President Ilham Aliyev even if the economical crisis began in the world in 2008. Only the exchange rate of manat decreased after the price of oil cheapened for 4 times. In spite of these, Azerbaijan economy developed in the last year and social programs were carried out. Gross Domestic Product increased 1.1%, industry 2,4 %, agriculture 6,6 %, non-petroleum sector 8,4%. 60 medical facilities and 20 schools were built in the last year and 5 new settlements were built for the internally displaced person and 100 thousand new workplaces were opened. Talking about the attention and care of the President Ilham Aliyev for the resolution of the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons Ali Hasanov highlighted that, 94 and as well as during the last 12 years 89 modern settlements and residential complexes having all the social and technical infrastructure were built in the cities and regions of the Republic for people in this category. 250 thousand internally displaced persons were moved to the new houses. Deputy Prime Minister stated that, all the tasks given by the President of Azerbaijan Republic were aimed at the human factor. The state is working for the people. All the steps taken serves to the further improvement of living conditions of the people. Therefore, there is a monolithic unity between the President and people. Chairman of the Committee stated that only the one problem-Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Garabakh conflict remains unresolved in our country. Emphasizing the fact that the failure of resolution of number one problem of our country Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Garabakh conflict serves to the interests of some forces, A.Hasanov stated that we should rely on ourselves and our own strength and the only hope for the resolution of the problem of Azerbaijani people as well as internally displaced persons is the President of every Azerbaijani Mr. Ilham Aliyev! Deputy Prime Minister noted that Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) demonstrated that it is in the position of double standards once again while the important resolution exposing the aggressive policy of Armenia in these days was discussed in PACE winter session in Strasbourg. With this manner it is considered that PACE go against its decisions adopted on the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by the Armenia as well as the UN resolutions, decisions and resolutions of European Parliament and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Of course, the inactivity of OSCE Minsk Group also manifested itself here. In addition, OSCE Minsk Group didn’t exert any pressure on the aggressors for the fair solution of the conflict. Emphasizing that the protraction of the conflict serves both some forces’ own interest Ali Hasanov expressed that our economy and army should be further strengthened for the liberation of our lands. Thereafter Deputy of National Assembly Bakhtiyar Sadigov made a speech and talked about the crisis in the world and the impact of these processes to Azerbaijan. He mentioned that, necessary measures are taken in Azerbaijan in order to reduce the impacts of the global crisis. People believe in the State and President and support the measures taken. Making a speech in the meeting internally displaced person Avaz Mikayilov, the director of the Lachin region Center for Social Protection of Population Arif Feyzullayev, deputy of Head of Khojali Executive Power Vahid Aliyev and internally displaced person form Khojali region Ogtay Goyushov expressed his gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Republic for the attention and care. At the same time, they spoke about some existing problem. Some appeals were made on paving the road leading to the village of Ayag Garvand of Aghdam region with asphalt, construction of the houses for the internally displaced persons from Lachin resided in Takhtakorpu of Aghjabadi region, meeting needs of the internally displaced persons from Khojali resided in Goranboy region for irrigation water, issuance of the share lands to the internally displaced persons from Khojavand resided in Beylagan region. Deputy Prime Minister dealt with problems of internally displaced persons from Aghdam, Lachin, Khojlai and Khojavand regions and answered their questions.
