Chairman of Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights has got acquainted with the living conditions of the internally displaced persons

The delegation led by the Chairman of Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights, being on a visit in Azerbaijan Nur Kholis has visited the locality built for internally displaced people at the expense of The State Oil Fund in the territory of Masazir in Absheron district on October 23. Delegation incoming here in order to get acquainted with the conditions created for internally displaced persons on the spot, was greeted by Deputies Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Garay Farhadov and Fuad Huseynov, The Heads of execute Powers of Absheron and Zangilan regions Irada Gulmammadova and Ramiz Hasanov in the territory. Expressing his gratitude to the Indonesian visitors for being closely interested in problems of refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan, Garay Farhadov has stated that modern settlements and localities have been built with all social-technical infrastructures for refugees and internally displaced persons in surrounding of Baku territory, in the different regions of our Republic and housing conditions of thousands of refugees and internally displaced persons living in heavier condition were improved. Reminding that the some parts of internally displaced persons are still living in hard conditions in hostels and unfinished facilities, deputy Chairman of the Committee has noted that relevant measures are gradually implemented in order to improve their housing conditions by our government. After that, the visitors have acquainted with the condition created in the secondary school of Zangilan region No. 33 serving 540 students in the territory and acquainted with working process in polling station No.2 of Zangilan-Gubadli constituency No. 125 in that school. Indonesian visitors have also acquainted with the living conditions of internally displaced persons living in the locality. Afterwards Indonesian visitors have met with the internally displaced persons living in the hostels of Azerbaijan Technical University in Yasamal district territory and acquainted with their living conditions. In the meetings Nur Kholis has stressed the importance of resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on the principles of international law and the return of refugees and internally displaced persons to their native lands.
