On May 7 an arrangement on subject “Heydar Aliyev: refugees and IDPs” devoted to 87th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth was held at the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Affairs. Responsible representatives of the Presidential Administration and Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, deputies of the Milli Majlis (National Parliament), heads of the executive powers of the occupied regions and public representatives took part at the arrangement. The participants put flowers in front of bust of the national leader in administrative building of the committee. The Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Affairs Ali Hasanov gave a wide report on immense services of the architect and builder of modern Azerbaijani government to our nation and native land. It was mentioned that year after year it becomes more obvious that the name and activity of the great politician and wise statesman passes all bounds of not only Azerbaijan, but also Turkish world. All over the world when saying “Heydar Aliyev” it signifies and saying “Azerbaijan” it signifies Heydar Aliyev’s personality who is the builder of this state. He reminded that in 1993 our national leader returning to the power for second time by insistent demand of the people accepted Azerbaijan which faced with danger of being obliterated from the map of the world as a state and where prevailed chaos and anarchy and when besides the Upper Garabagh the regions of important strategic significance such as Shusha, Lachin and Kalbajar were occupied by Armenians as a result of unexperienced and unstable management of previous predecessors. He also that only bright shine of Heydar Aliyev’s genius helped Azerbaijan honestly to pass through trials of history and reached today’s level of development. Ali Hasanov mentioned that settlement of problems of IDPs and refugees who were driven from their native lands as a result of Armenian’s aggression was a priority for our great leader in his 10-year period when he headed independent Azerbaijan. Deputy Prime Minister informed the participants about the resolutions, orders, decrees and state programs signed by the great leader for solution of IDPs and refugees’ social problems in chronological order. Also the activities of the national leader for removal of results of the military aggression to Azerbaijan and liberation of the occupied lands were noted in chronological order. Ali Hasanov reminded the numerous meetings of the national leader with refugees and IDPs and always approached with sensitivity to the problems of these people. Ali Hasanov mentioned that today the political course of the great leader is successfully continued by the President Ilham Aliyev and highly appreciated all of the measures taken by the head of our state in this direction. He stressed that refugees and IDPs support efforts made by the head of our state on settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Upper Garabagh conflict. Chairman of the “Republic of Azerbaijan Azeri Community of Upper Garabagh region” Public Union, Head of the Executive Power of Shusha Bayram Safarov, Deputy Chairman of Science and Education Committee of Milli Mejlis Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Head of the Khojavand Executive Power Eyvaz Huseynov, Deputy of Milli Majlis Aslan Shahverdiyev delivered a speech and talk about national leader Heydar Aliyev’s care and attention to our compatriots who were driven out from their native lands as a result of Armenian aggression and irreplaceable merits of the to Azeri people and state. The speakers noted that soon we’ll see fruits of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s purposeful works for liberation of occupied lands and they expressed their belief in celebration of the next anniversary of the great leader in Shusha and other regions of Upper Garabagh. A book “President’s care to refugees and internally displaced persons” published by the Social Fund for Development of IDPs and devoted to President Ilham Aliyev’s care to refugees and IDPs was presented at this arrangement.
