The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on deals of the Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Assistance, Mr. Ali Hasanov has received the United States Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar and the delegation of the embassy employees. The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that cooperation between the two countries had been well-founded and relations have entered a new stage of development and thanked the USA Embassy in Azerbaijan for humanitarian assistance, humanitarian and development projects they executed for our refugees and internally displaced compatriots who were displaced from native lands as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and emphasized the great significance of the cooperation in this field. The diplomat stated that the key objective of his arrival at the meeting was contributing to the events at least a bit implemented by the government of Azerbaijan towards the solution of the problems of the refugees and internally displaced persons, carrying out various infrastructure and other projects for this and agreed that the largest funds to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons have been allocated by the government of Azerbaijan and expressed that the project they would execute might be of some help. He also spoke about the execution status of technical projects currently implemented by the Embassy at various sites, as well as stated his approval of the funding for the implementation of the projects in summer school to be established for the involvement of 45 internally displaced children to different courses. The Deputy Prime Minister brought to the attention that he would pay further visit to Ganja and the school in the newly-opened settlement and would get closely acquainted with the activity of the school in the nearest future. The guest noted that official Washington had always given special attention to the improvement of the living conditions of Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons and they were ready to participate in the projects implemented in this direction. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister A.Hasanov thanked the diplomat on behalf of Azerbaijani government, underlined the importance of the implementation of such projects and stated that all the above-mentioned play an essential role either in improving the living conditions of internally displaced persons or in solving the rehabilitation problems among them. The current situation towards the solution of Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, forthcoming duties associated with the problems of our compatriots arising out of this conflict, as well as other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
