The phased return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands continues. The village of Khanyurdu in the Khojaly district, after being restored, is also welcoming its residents. All the necessary infrastructure has been established in the village to ensure their comfortable living in accordance with modern standards.

With the organization of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and the support of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, as well as in the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, a special video clip reflecting the return of Khanyurdu residents to their ancestral homeland has been prepared.

Residents returning to their native homes expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care shown to them. The residents also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, heroic soldiers and officers who liberated our lands from occupation, and prayed for mercy upon our martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this path, wishing patience to their families.
