According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, based on the schedule of reception of citizens by the heads of the central executive authorities and other government bodies in cities and regions, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Rovshan Rzayev received citizens in Goychay on January 29. The reception was attended mainly by residents of the Goychay and Aghdash districts. In citizens’ appeals, the issues of granting special-purpose residential areas belonging to the state housing fund, repairing temporary residential areas, allocating a single monthly allowance, employment and preparation for the Great Return and other personal concerns predominated. During the reception, it was once again mentioned at the reception that President Ilham Aliyev took necessary measures to strengthen the social protection of IDPs, and that First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva paid special attention and care to people from this category.
It was noted that the most important task set by the head of state at present is to accelerate their return to the territories liberated from occupation, to their native lands, and to create safe and decent living conditions there. Citizens were informed that the return process is continuing successfully and that, within this phased process, priority is given first to the relocation of those living in the most difficult conditions at temporary settlement sites. During the reception, some of the issues raised by citizens were resolved on the spot. It was stated that other issues highlighted in the appeals would be examined in a short time and forwarded to the relevant state bodies.
