On February 26, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with the representatives of Turkey’s “TRT”, “FOX TV”, “Kanalturk” TV channels, “Bu gun”, “Todays zaman”, “Samanyolukheber”, “Zaman” papers and “Media PR” agency.
At the meeting, Ali Hasanov gave detailed information to guests about the history of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, atrocities committed by the Armenians against our people in Khojaly on February 26, 1992 and underlined that over one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs. Stating that Armenia ignoring resolutions of influential international organizations on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict continued its expansionist policy, Ali Hasanov said the problem was necessary to be delivered to the world community.
The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned the activities carried out by the President Ilham Aliyev and international organizations for improving social and living conditions of refugees and IDPs.
Highly appreciating activities implemented by some charities in our country, Ali Hasanov noted that those activities manifested fraternal relations between the countries. There was reported that Diasporas carried out joint activities to deliver realities of Azerbaijan to the world community. Turkey always supported Azerbaijan in removing serious results of the unjust conflict. The Deputy Prime Minister, expressing his assurance for return of refugees and IDPs to their native lands, stated that effective and purposeful policy of the President Ilham Aliyev led to Azerbaijan’s kind, friendly relations with other countries, and increased international influence.
Ali Hasanov answered the journalists’ questions. Then the guests were presented newly published book and disks of films dealing with the conflict.
