The State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan has organized another event within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”. According to Subparagraph 4.8 of the Decree No. 24, dated February 20, 2024, issued by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the initiative aims to support the recycling of used paper, promote citizen engagement in this area, and contribute to sustainable solutions and development in addressing global pollution and environmental protection.

In the Mushfigabad settlement of the Garadagh district of Baku, where internally displaced persons are temporarily housed, an event was held under the slogan “Let’s Give New Life to Used Paper, Let’s Protect Our World”. During this event, residents were informed about the efficient and economical use of paper products and encouraged to hand over unused paper materials from their homes to recycling bins. The internally displaced persons actively participated in the event and expressed their commitment to being more attentive to environmental protection issues following the information provided.

It should be noted that, as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”, the Committee regularly conducts informative training, and produces and promotes videos and posters.
