Under the directive of President Ilham Aliyev, the return of internally displaced persons from Shusha will soon commence. In connection with this, a drawing was held at the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons among families to be initially relocated to Shusha. The event was attended by representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President in Shusha district, the Shusha District Executive Authority, and the Public Council under the State Committee.
The residents of Shusha, who welcomed the start of the return with great joy, expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to them during their period of displacement, as well as for the ongoing reconstruction and modernization efforts in the city.
It should be noted that families relocating to Shusha will be provided with apartments in multi-story buildings. The new residential areas are being allocated to internally displaced persons who have been temporarily residing in various locations across the republic and are permanently registered in Shusha city.
The initial drawing involved 20 families of martyrs, veterans, and those working in construction and reconstruction projects in the city. Each family was allocated an apartment corresponding to their family size, with apartments ranging from 2 to 5 rooms.
The relocation of the families who participated in the drawing to Shusha is planned for early May. The drawing process for relocating families to Shusha will continue in stages.
